Access Yonkers Family Court Records

Call 914-831-6555 for the main line. Yonkers has its own dedicated family court with three judges who hear cases for the city and nearby communities. Yonkers Family Court Location

Yonkers has its own Family Court branch within the Westchester County system. The court is at 131 Warburton Avenue, 3rd Floor, Yonkers, NY 10701. Three judges preside here: Hon. Wayne Humphrey, Hon. Sharon G. Matthie, and Hon. Maritza Fugaro. The Clerk's Office is led by Chief Clerk Stephen G. Byrnes, with Deputy Chief Clerk Kenton Vanzandt and Associate Court Clerk Minnasha Jones.

Support Magistrates at the Yonkers court include Michele Reed Bowman and Laura Daniels. They handle child support and spousal support matters. Court Attorney Referee Ronald Cohen assists with case management. Metered street parking is available near the courthouse. The Bee-Line Bus and Metro-North Railroad provide public transit options.

Westchester County Family Court also operates in White Plains at 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (914-824-5500) and in New Rochelle at 26 Garden Street. Yonkers residents may occasionally have cases assigned to one of the other locations depending on the circumstances.

Searching Yonkers Family Court Records

Under Family Court Act Section 166, family court records are not open to public inspection. The court has discretion to allow access. Parties to the case and their attorneys can access records under 22 NYCRR 205.5 without a separate court order.

The WebFamily portal lets you search by file number or attorney name for case status, court dates, and case history. Some details may be hidden for privacy. For full copies of orders and filings, visit the Clerk's Office at the Yonkers courthouse with photo ID.

Virtual court appearances are conducted using Microsoft Teams at the Yonkers Family Court. This lets parties participate in proceedings from home when appropriate. The court handles child custody, visitation, child support, adoption, paternity, guardianship, juvenile delinquency, PINS, abuse and neglect, and family offense matters.
